Aloe Vera Water

Serves: 8

1 large Aloe vera leaf
1 orange, squeezed
2 c. seltzer water, or filtered water

1. You want to rinse and chop the aloe in half. Slicing the skin completely off the curved side of the leaf, exposing the gooey inner Then, working the knife back and forth, cut the aloe off the bottom of the leaf, moving from one end to the other.

2. Cutting the aloe into smaller pieces and insert it into a blender along with 2 c. water and juice from an orange. Blend on medium-low speed for 30-45 seconds.

3. Pour the aloe juice from the blender straight into a plastic or glass pitcher.

4. Bottle the aloe juice in a plastic or glass pitcher with a lid.

Orange Soda pop




This soda pop recipe is so unbelievably delicious. Your guest will want, to know your secret.

Serves: 1

1 c. Seltzer water (I used ginger ale)
1 Orange, freshly squeezed

Directions:

1. Pour seltzer water into a drinking glass, and add freshly squeezed orange juice. Stir until the flavors become incorporated. Cheers to Orange Soda pop.

Apple-lemon-berry punch



Serves: 5

1/8 (64 oz.) Apple juice, chilled
1/8 (64 oz.) Lemonade, chilled
1/8 (64 oz.) Strawberry juice, chilled
1/8 (2 litter) seltzer water

Directions:

1. In a medium sized punch bowl, combine together apple, lemonade, strawberry and seltzer water.

Moody Girl Ice Cream Float




Summer is just around the corner, and there is nothing that will quench your thirst. Like, this Adult infused Ice cream Float. You can even go as far as making a mock Ice cream float, for the little ones to.

Serves:2

2 Tbsp. Kahlua
4 scoops Coffee ice cream
2 cans Root beer
2 Tbsp. Peanut butter chips
2 Tbsp. Crushed Peanut's-(Optional)* if allergic to tree nuts opt them out
Whipped Cream-(garnished)


Directions:

1. In two cups large cups, add Kahlua and root beer into each cup.

2.Gently add in 2 scoops each, of Ice Cream into each cup.

3. pour more root beer over the top, and finish it off with whipped cream, Peanut butter chips and crushed peanuts.

Kombucha Float



If you love Root beer floats, you will for sure enjoy this new twist on floats.

Serve: 1

1 c. unflavored Kombucha
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1 Tbsp. -1/2 tsp. Organic pure sugar
1/3 c. clean fresh strawberries
1/3 c. vanilla Ice cream

Directions:

1.Using a measuring cup, combine together Kombucha, vanilla extract and sugar.

2. In a 16 oz drinking cup, Placing a spoonful of strawberries, Vanilla ice cream. gently pouring in the Kombucha mixture.

Strawberry-Coconut smoothie

1 c. milk (You can use non dairy milk)
1 Tbsp. Chia seeds
3 fl oz. unsweetened coconut cream
4 strawberries, hulled


Directions:

1. Add all ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth.

Tangerine Mango Smoothie

Serves: 2 (makes 4 cups)

1.5 c. Orange juice, Freshly squeezed
1.5 c. Tangerine Juice, Freshly squeezed
1/2 c. water, or more if needed
1/4 c. avocado
1/2 tsp. finely grated lime zest
2 c. frozen mango
1 tsp. Chia seeds
1/2 tsp. Wheat germ
1 tsp. Pure maple syrup, to taste (optional )

Directions:

1. Add in all of the ingredients in a blender and blend on high for about 30-60 seconds, until smooth and creamy.

Cranberry Cider

Whether it's for a Halloween party or any other special event during the fall season. Cranberry Cider would be a great addition to any event.

Serves: 4

~Cider
1 c. apple cider
2 cinnamon sticks
3 whole allspice
2 c. sweetened cranberry juice

Cranberry Nectar
2 c. Cranberry
1 1/2 c. water
1/4 c. Pure Cane sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. Lemon juice

Directions:

1. In a blender place cranberries an pulse on low speed until mixture is completely combine (pureed).

2. In a medium dutch oven saucepan, add in pureed cranberries, water, sugar and lemon juice. Bring mixture to a boil then reduce heat to low. Simmer until mixture is thicker and sugar is dissolved. place mixture off to the aside.

3. Cranberry nectar, Cranberry juice,apple cider and cinnamon stick in another saucepan. Place allspice in a cheesecloth and place in the saucepan. Heat mixture on low for 20 to 40 minutes. Once heated, strain mixture through a mesh strainer. Serve with a dollop of whipped cream with a hint of cinnamon

Chocolate Smoothie



Why settle for a store brought smoothie, when you can make it fresh in the comfort of you're own home; as it's filled with protein.

Serves:2
1/2 c. 1% low-fat milk * (Almond, Rice, Soy)
2 Tbsp. chocolate syrup
2 Tbsp. creamy peanut butter
2 Tbsp. Chia seed
1 ripe banana, sliced
1 (8 oz.) carton vanilla low-fat yogurt

Directions:

1. Add all ingredients into a blender, and blend until smooth; and incorporated.

Vanilla amaretto coffee



If you're a coffee drinker?, and looking for a perfect way to perk up this morning. Why not grab for this Ice cold recipe.
serves: 1
1/4 c. Ice
1/8 c. coffee (cold)
1/8 c. vanilla flavored milk (Rice, Almond, Soy)
1/4 tsp. amaretto extract
1/4 pinch sugar * Sugar substitute
Directions:
1. in a glass add ice. Pouring coffee, milk and amaretto extract on top. Adding in sugar, or sugar substitute if you please. Stirring with a spoon and enjoy.

Sage Tea



serves: 1

Salvia officinal ''Sage'' has multiple purpose, especially for sore throats. As the weather will go through some changes, especially with fall ahead of us cold & flu does not.

1 oz. Fresh sage leaves
1 c. Water
1 1/2 tsp. Manuka honey

Directions:

1. bring 1 c. of water to a boil, and once water comes to a complete boil remove from heat . Placing Sage leaves into the pot and cover with lid , and allow to steep for 3 to 5 minutes. Pour and strain tea into cup, add 11/2 tsp.honey (If you have a sore throat "DON'T USE SUGAR") and stir .

*Note
Sugar only makes the matter worse, honey is much soother on the throat.

~Living Better Tip:

This tea works for any Infections of the mouth.

you can also use this to gargle with, just skip over adding the honey.

Pink Lady



(Inspired by: Mint Juleps)

Serves: 4

1 c. Water
1 c. Granulated cane sugar
1/4 c. Roughly chopped fresh mint leaves
2 c. Pink lemonade
1 c. Peach nectar
4 sprigs fresh mint leaves ( for garnish)

Directions:

1. Combine water, sugar and chopped mint leaves in a small sized saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat until the sugar is completely dissolved. Allow syrup to cool, approximately 1 hour. Pour syrup through a strainer to remove mint leaves.

2. Add crushed ice to pitcher, stir in lemonade and peach nectar plus 1/4 c. Mint simple syrup.
Stir until completely incorporated in, and serve with a garnish mint leave.

Cherry lime twister



Serves:1

2 Tbsp. simple syrup
1 1⁄2 Tbsp.freshly squeezed lime juice
1 1/2 Tbsp. Frozen cherry juice, thawed
3⁄4 cup soda water
1. Fill a glass with crushed ice, then add the simple syrup plus lime, cherry juice as well as soda water.
Stir until completely incorporated, and enjoy!

Mango ginger fusion smoothie



Serves: 5

5 Mango's, peeled, seeded and diced
5 c. Plain yogurt
 1 1/4 c. Organic granulated sugar
2 1/2 c. Ice
5 (1-in) Fresh pieces ginger root, or more for taste
1/4c. + 1 Tbsp. Flaxseeds

Directions:

1. Blend together all ingredients. Blend until smooth, pour, and serve.

Cherry root beer smoothie

1 Tbsp. + 1 tsp. Root beer extract

 4 c. Milk * (Rice, almond, soy)
3/4 c. Cherry juice
12 ice cubes

 Directions:


1. Blend all ingredients into a blender until smooth.

Nasal decongestant tea




Serves: 1

1/4 tsp. Cayenne pepper

1 1/2 Tbsp. Manuka honey
1 tea bag * (preferably Ginger)
1 to 1 1/2 c. Water * (depends on the cup size)

Directions:


 1. Pour water into a small pot, and allow to come to a boil.


2. Pour the water into the cup over the tea bag, and allow to steep for 3- 5 minutes.


 3. Add 1/4 tsp. Cayenne pepper, and 1 1/2 Tbsp. Honey .


4. Stir and sip.




BENEFICIAL FACT:


* Ginger 

Helps with decongestant, just like Cayenne pepper.

Ginger orange tea





Serves: 6

Ginger root, about 4-in long

2 c. Water
2 Tbsp. Lime juice
 2 c. Orange juice
 2 Tbsp. Honey

Directions:


 1.)  Peel and slice the ginger root into small pieces, using a grader.

Put them in a pot with 2 cups of water and just barely boil.

2.) Remove the pieces out.


3.) Add the orange juice, lime juice, honey, and stir as  you want your honey to mix in well.


4.) Enjoy!

Ginger helps with the symptoms of upper respiratory tract infection, bronchitis, cough, menstrual cramps, arthritis and muscle pain.

Pink flamingo




Serves: 6


1 can (6oz) frozen pink lemonade

1 bottle ginger ale

1/2 cup pineapple juice

 Pineapple slice (garnish)

Cherry with stem (garnish)


Directions:


 Add  lemonade plus pineapple juice to ginger ale.

 Garnish with pineapple slice and cherry.


BUDGET ALERT: Best way to save is to buy pineapple slices, in their own juices.

Almona letcha know smoothie

 1 1/2 cup milk ( preferable Rice milk)

 1 cup cocoa powder

 1 cup plain yogurt

 1 cup blueberries


 Directions:

1. Combine all the ingredients in a blender.

2. Blend until smooth.

Butterscotch coffee shake





Serves: 1


1 tsp. Instant coffee

1 scoop Butterscotch ice cream
2 1/4 heavy cream

Directions:


 Stir one rounded teaspoon in a small cup filled with boiling water.

Mix all ingredients together in a blender for 15 to 20 seconds or til smooth.
