Daily Bites...Oats

* Please Continue to read this blog article.

Hello and welcome to, Living Better Cafe, Fifth blog post article called: Daily Bites. This article will take you more in-depth behind the scene of, what you are eating on a daily basis. So, who want to know, what they are placing in their system on a regular basis? Once again,Living Better Cafe knows... and thats the founder of this blog, Katrina Smith. Therefore, take it away Katrina.

Living Better Cafe, is going to target oats, and not just one type of oats. You will learn about: Whole Oats and Steel Cut Oats. But, first Katrina Smith wants to share her story behind Oats. So, Katrina take it away.

You all know me for writing, Living Better Cafe, and how I bring you recipes and tips on saving money. And how I tell you how good food is for you. But, just like everyone one else, I too have food that I do not like eating. And of course, Living Better Cafe is bringing it to you. I know all the good benefits of eating Oatmeal. But, just like everyone else has their likes and dislikes, Oatmeal and I go along way back. And I won't share to much right now... I don't want to gross you out. I will just say that: the texture of hot Oatmeal, reminds me of slime. If you can get what I am saying. So, I will hand it over to Living Better Cafe.

Yes! We all get the picture, Katrina, and thanks for keeping it all together...we don't need anyone turning heads asking for paper towels. Now, let's get straight to talking about: Oats. And why not start with Quick Oats? We all get the fact that Oatmeal is good for us. But, it can stun some in different ways. So, Living Better Cafe is going to break it down for you, by giving you a did you know fact.

Living Better Cafe says: did you know that, Oats are one of the healthiest grains on the planet. And that Oats have multiple benefits, and they include the following:

* Lower cholesterol

* Lower blood sugar

* Lower the risk of heart disease

* Weight loss

* Immune booster

* Prevent Cancer

* Energy booster

* Helps prevent and treat Diabetes

*High in Fiber

So, that the benefits of Oats. But, what is the difference between the two... Living Better Cafe did mention: Quick Oats and Steel Cut Oats. And we are going to cover that right now.

Quick Oats are basically known as, quick cooking Oats, they go through the same process as, Rolled Oats. And they go through a rolling machine, that flatten them, into thinner flakes. Quick Oats, cook faster than Regular Oats, and they are loaded up with more protein. And Steel Cut Oats, are also called: Irish Oats, which is Whole Oats that have been cut with a steel blade.

And that is very interesting to come to think about it, the whole processing of how Oats are made. But, out of the two, which one cooks faster? Its not that hard to figure out that, Quick Oats cook faster than Steel Cut.

And there you have it, the different between Quick Oats and Steel Cut Oats. As Quick and Steel Cut Oats, carry the same benefits.
